On Wednesday 15th April, at 5:00 pm, Prof. Alessandro Bogliolo will hold a webinar on Computational thinking, principles, methods and tools.
The webinar is organized as part of the IDEA project activities. The objective of above mentioned project is to promote the use of experiment digital technologies in sardininan lower and upper secondary schools. Its is carried out by CRS4 Educational Technology group in collaboration with the regional agency Sardegna Ricerche and the Regional Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
Alessandro Bogliolo will treat the theme of computational thinking which is not limited to the ability to resolve a complex problem by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable parts, but also has to do with the ability to express the solution of the problem with such rigour that a computer, robot or human being could implement it. This close link with programming justifies using coding in teaching.
The webinar will deal with the basis of computational thinking. Coding methodologies and tools will be illustrated and their application to teaching will be discussed.
Alessandro Bogliolo teaches Computer Systems at Urbino University and is the Rector's delegate for Public Engagement and Dissemination. Since 2015 he is the European Code Week Coordinator. He has been a Member of Governing Board of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition since 2017. In 2019 he founded DIGIT srl, a university spinoff and CodeMOOCnet the teachers association. For RAI SCUOLA, Bogliolo is also an author and television host for the following programs: "Coding", "CodyGames", "Il Digitale" e "Gli Algoritmi di ogni giorno".
The webinar is free and open to all, but to participate registration is required.
