On Wednesday 3rd June, at 5pm Prof. Alessandro Bogliolo will hold a webinar entitled: Digital humanity and school.
The webinar is organized by the Educational Technology group of CRS4, as part of the IDEA project activities and realized with Sardegna Ricerche Regional Agency and the Sardinian Department of Public Education. The objective of the project is to promote the use of experimental digital technologies by teachers in Sardinian lower and upper secondary schools.
At a time when there is much talk about "digital school", when the country, companies, institutions and citizens are facing the so-called "digital transformation", when digital technologies have become essential tools to withstand the lockdown imposed on us by the pandemic and to face the future, one should ask oneself what is the meaning of the adjective "digital" to be able to face the future with awareness, but, before that be able to understand present days, our culture and our very humanity. This is the topic of this webinar, illustrated with simple examples that will explain the deep link existing between digital technologies and the human ability for abstraction and capacity for symbolic representation.
Alessandro Bogliolo teaches Computer Systems at Urbino University and is the Rector's delegate for Public Engagement and Dissemination. Since 2015 he is the European Code Week Coordinator. He has been a Member of Governing Board of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition since 2017. In 2019 he founded DIGIT srl, a university spinoff and CodeMOOCnet the teachers association. For RAI SCUOLA, Bogliolo is also an author and television host for the following programs: "Coding", "CodyGames", "Il Digitale" e "Gli Algoritmi di ogni giorno".
The webinar is free and open to all, but to participate, registration is required.
