The Spring School TDM Urban Computing 2019 - Big data opened today, in the presence of a crowded audience of students, professionals and citizens, interested in deepening the themes of Urban Informatics and applying them to the context of the metropolitan city of Cagliari.
After the institutional greetings given by the project partners represented by the president of CRS4 Annalisa Bonfiglio, the rector of the University of Cagliari Maria del Zompo and the funding agency Sardegna Ricerche, represented by the general director Giorgio Pisanu, work has started and will continue for six days, divided into lectures and practical sessions.
The morning session was opened by the scientific coordinator of the project Enrico Gobbetti, who illustrated the objectives and methods of the project and, in particular, the curriculum of the school itself.
The speakers of the introductory module are (in order of appearance): Diego Reforgiato Recupero (University of Cagliari), Massimo Gaggero (CRS4), Pierangelo Lucio Orofino (Cagliari Municipality), Claudio Conversano (University of Cagliari), Maurizio Atzori (University of Cagliari), Giovanni Busonera (CRS4), Marco Cogoni (CRS4). The speakers of the advanced module are: Mirco Musolesi (University College London), Patrizia Sulis (University College London), Kira Kempinska (University College London), Giovanni Battista Gallus (Array Law), Enrico Gobbetti (CRS4), Gianluigi Zanetti (CRS4).
