For info on the International Conference: "Connecting technologies and didactics - The IDEA project experience"
Cagliari, 10 - 11 February 2020

With the 2018-19 school year, the new Line B3 - IDEA project of the Regional Programme "Tutti a Iscol@" was launched.

IDEA "Innovazione Didattica E Apprendimento" means Educational Innovation and Learning.  The objectives of the project is to reinforce the school system.  Financed by the Department of Education of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, through the Cohesion Action Plan, the project was conceived by CRS4 which was also entrusted by the "Sardegna Ricerche" Regional Agency to implement it.

The aim of the project is to enhance and promote the use of technological innovation in schools.  Teachers are guided and supported as they experience new practices, new methods and tools, making a sensible use of digital technologies.

Origins of the project:

IDEA is a fallout of Line B2 of the "Tutti a Iscol@" program carried out between 2015 and 2018.  As part of Line B2 project, extracurricular technological didactic labs were conceived and implemented in Sardinian schools.  The step further is to encourage teachers to experiment digital technologies and innovations in their curricular activities, and become familiar with those that can be an asset in their didactics.

Duration of the project

The project will unfold between academic years 2018-19 and 2019-20.  A first experimentation involving about 240 Junior high and high school teachers from all around Sardinia will take place in 2018-19, focusing on the following themes:

  • School Without Walls - AR
  • Computational thinking – Robotics, IoT, Coding
  • Interdisciplinarity approach in digital education - AI
