The workpackage 6 of the GRIDA3 project deals with the implementation of a grid-enabled Web demonstrative application centered on meteorological modeling. More specifically the aim of the project is the implementation of an eight member ensemble made up of at least three mesoscale models (Bolam, MM5, RAMS and/or WRF), one of them used twice with different setups, fed with two sets of boundary and initial conditions (ECMWF and NCEP). The final objective is that to issue a probabilistic forecast and be able in this way to characterize the uncertainty of the single deterministic forcast.
