The present project concerns an improvement in efficiency for reverse osmosis (RO) technology and proposes the study of an innovative plant that uses a pressure exchanger that has the following advantages compared to similar systems on the market:
- High efficiency with relative lower production energy costs;
- Use of standard components, commercially available on the market and therefore less expensive than the patented systems on the market;
- Low deterioration and noise;
- Lower maintenance costs;
- Extension of the useful life of RO membranes.
