The SUNRISE project aims to develop a passive solar tracker that represents an innovative solution for the production and storage of electrical energy with a high degree of efficiency. In particular, the idea behind the project is the integration of a passive system for handling solar panels, which allows better absorption of solar energy during the day, with an integrated system of storage of energy produced that allows a greater modulation of the energy produced compared to demand. The expected results will allow to: decrease the costs of solar trackers and eliminate system maintenance; improve energy productivity; provide high performance in all weather conditions; ensure easy and optimal integration with modern Smart Grid; provide a highly flexible and autonomous photovoltaic system.
