Carole Salis, Senior Researcher, is an Educational Technologist. She has graduated in Educational Sciences at the University of Montreal,(Canada), where she later earned a Master in Educational Technology, too (1990).
Activities since 1993: study and design of ICT systems/approaches to strengthen the teaching/learning processes, Master in International Cooperation Management from ASVI school (Rome), manages the Educational technology Programme at CRS4. She is in charge of the scientific project management of the "Tutti a Iscol@ linea B2 activities, a project funded by the Sardinian Regional Authority that involves 139 schools across the Region, where technical innovative labs are being carried out. She has been involved in the VALE activities for 3 years where she developed 2 series of seminars in order to emphasize the knowledge/capabilities the CRS4 manages, she currently focuses her interests on the concept of internet school communities to enhance the involvement of students into the problem solving process based on the specific skills. She is experimenting a new pedagogical approach "No-Wall Schools" in order to study the competence development of student within his/her natural learning cycle: school, environment, home with AR support. Carole regularly publishes papers in journals and conference proceedings on the ICT innovative methodologies for the educational world and in the field of e-Learning.
