The CRS4 advisory board is now enriched by two new high-profile professionals: astrophysicist Marta Burgay and journalist Flavia Giacobbe. The committee, which was set up in February 2021 to provide assistance, support and advice to the management of the research centre, thus reaches 10 members.
The Sole Administrator of CRS4, Giacomo Cao, said: "Two experts with significantly different professional backgrounds, but with very valuable experience, who will prove particularly useful for the Centre, are joining the committee. The members of the advisory board provide their contribution to CRS4 free of charge".
Marta Burgay, known for the discovery of the first double pulsar, is a researcher at the National Institute of Astrophysics at the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory. Flavia Giacobbe is the editor-in-chief of the magazine Formiche, the magazine Airpress, and from 2021, also the bimonthly Healthcare Policy.
