The graduation ceremony for the master's degrees in Aerospace Systems Engineering and Security Awareness, organised by the Aerospace District of Sardinia (DASS) in collaboration with CRS4, the research centre of the Science and Technology Park of Sardinia, was held this morning in Cagliari.
The two master's degree courses, financed entirely by the Sardinian Regional Government for a total of EUR 160,000 and intended to train graduates who are employed or seeking employment, were activated in Cagliari in October 2021 at the University of Cagliari's Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Materials Engineering, following an agreement signed with the Sardinian Regional Labour Department and the Sardinian Agency for Active Employment Policies (ASPAL). The training courses ended in November 2022 with a total of 23 participants, each of whom received a scholarship worth EUR 1,000, covering the entire master's course.
The master's degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering was aimed at enriching the specialised skills of each enrolled student by targeting them at the multidisciplinary reality of aerospace activities such as those related to satellite-based on-board systems or its guidance and control systems. The master's course ended with eight students doing their internship at CRS4 and Nurjana Technologies, members of the Aerospace District.
The master's degree in Security Awareness was aimed at disseminating the culture of security and the institutional, organisational and technical-operational tools used nationally and internationally to tackle these challenges. The master's course ended with 15 trainees doing their internship in the offices of the Region of Sardinia and DASS.
Present at the ceremony were: Ada Lai, Sardinian Regional Councillor for Labour; Francesco Mola, Rector of the University of Cagliari; Maika Aversano, Aspal General Manager; Giacomo Cao, CRS4 Sole Administrator and DASS President; Paolo Teofilatto, La Sapienza University of Rome; Mario Caligiuri, University of Calabria; the 23 master's degree participants.
