During the week dedicated by the Milan EXPO to Sardinia (11-17 September), in a specially designed room at Palazzo Italia, CRS4 will demonstrate an interactive application dedicated to the statuary complex of Mont'e Prama. The application will allow visitors, for the first time, to virtually explore all the restored statues at 4K resolution. The application shown is an evolution of those already successfully used for the museum installations of Cagliari, Cabras, Rome and Milan. The interactive visit at very high resolution, made possible thanks to innovative techniques developed by the CRS4 Visual Computing group on the basis of multi-year research work, will support inspection in full detail of all parts of each work, with a resolution of 16 points per square millimeter. The application of these methods the the statuary complex of Mont'e Prama is done in the framework of a collaboration between CRS4 and the Archaeological Superintendence of Sardinia.
