CRS4 and Ennova Research have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly develop research projects and promote applications in the fields of energy and environment, healthcare, and smart cities. The complementary nature and synergy between CRS4 and Ennova Research will allow this partnership to focus on applications and the use of enabling technologies related to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, parallel computing, and the Internet of Things.
The first project is a feasibility study to develop a platform that, starting from ultrasound images and through the use of artificial intelligence, will help to diagnose colorectal cancer “in a relatively simpler manner”. This activity is part of a pre-commercial research and development tender, funded by the Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria di Cagliari, in which four other participants have also been admitted. Once the feasibility study is completed, all tender participants will be involved in a further selection process concerning the development and the evaluation of the platform.
