Two years after its inauguration, the Joint Innovation Center (JIC) of the Pula Technology Park, dedicated to Smart & Safe City research projects, is starting a new operational phase. On November 7th 2018, in Rome an agreement was signed between the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (represented by President Francesco Pigliaru), Huawei Italia (represented by the CEO Dr. Thomas Miao) and CRS4 (represented by President Annalisa Bonfiglio).
The agreement includes a new plan of activities in the fields of health, transports, waste management, logistics, security and industry 4.0 with the involvement of the Municipality of Cagliari, local institutions and the ecosystem of small&medium enterprises.
