Five students, attending the third year of the Capoterra High School “Liceo Scientifico Bacaredda-Atzeni”, Cristian Ambu, Francesco Caboni, Michele Pambira, Alberto Pinna e Riccardo Zedda are taking part to a work-related learning experience at CRS4. Their school tutors are Prof. Fulvia Ruju and Prof. Maria Antonietta Rivano. The stage is under the guidance of Paolo Sirigu (Expert Technologist of the Natural Interaction and knowledge management technology program, CRS4).
The general objectives of the experience is to measure the energy footprint and the sustainability of a building. To this scope, students will investigate, measure and assess various environmental aspects through the use of microcontrollors, and their related sensors and actuators.
This work-related learning experience is part of the "Alternanza Scuola Lavoro" program and the IoT DESIR project (Internet of Things per una Didattica nell'Educazione con Scuola, Impresa e Ricerca), coordinated by Carole Salis. This project involves 12 higher education institutions, distributed around the whole Sardinian territory, and its main objectives are to facilitate inter-institutional cooperation on the territory, analyse, develop and test Internet of Things Scenarios based on problem solving skills.
