CRS4 researcher Manuela Profir gave an invited speech at the opening plenary session of the international conference Nuclear 2019 (Pitesti, Romania, June 3-4 2019). The work The Role of CFD Simulations in CRS4 Support to Liquid Metal Fast Reactors Design, co-authored with Vincent Moreau (CRS4), was carried out in a series of projects (SEARCH, MAXSIMA, MYRTE and SESAME) of the 7th and 8th European framework programmes, in which the CRS4 team developed advanced thermo-fluid dynamics simulations to support the design and safety evaluation of new generation reactors.
The objective of the conference Nuclear 2019, togheter with the co-located events FISA 2019 e EURADWASTE '19, is to evaluate the participation of EU Member States in the last two Framework Programmes and to set the actual priorities and needs of national R&D programmes.
