Giovanni Delussu è un ricercatore dell'area di ricerca "Digital Health" che fa parte del Programma di Ricerca "Visual and Data-Intensive Computing". Ha conseguito una laurea in Ingegneria Aeronautica (Vecchio Ordinamento) presso il Politecnico di Torino (1993). Successivamente ha lavorato nell'Aeronautica Militare in qualità di ufficiale addetto alla manutenzione di terra degli aeromobili. E' entrato al CRS4 nel 1996. Ha lavorato in svariati campi: algoritmi e programmi per la generazione di griglie computazionali, aerodinamica delle vele, idrodinamica delle imbarcazioni, combustione, calcolo strutturale dinamico su valvole cardiache artificiali, razzo per missione su Marte (Prof Rubbia). In seguito si è occupato di energie rinnovabili ed in particolare ha lavorato sui sistemi solari a concentrazione (CSP). Dopo aver lavorato nel campo dei "Big Data" è passato ad occuparsi di soluzioni per digital healthcare . Nel 2017 ha conseguito il dottorato internazionale in Scienze e Tecnologie per l'Innovazione presso l'Università di Cagliari con una tesi nel campo della Informatica Biomedica.
