SOILS4MED shares the vision that in the Mediterranean region (MR) there is urgent need to enhance availability and use of soil data and information (SDI) and to harmonize methods towards standardized soil information systems (SIS), as enabling conditions to protect and improve soil health and support policies to achieve land degradation neutrality (LDN) and other SDGs (food security, CC, biodiversity, economic development).
SOILS4MED has the following objectives:
SOILS4MED works in synergy with initiatives on SDI harmonization and use in the MR, particularly supporting efforts by FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and JRC.
The CRS4 is responsible of the projet work package 5 (objective 5)
