    Abstract

    We developed an efficient technique for inspecting extremely detailed colored objects composed of many loosely connected interweaving detailed parts of complex topological structure. This video illustrates the technique with the real-time inspection of a variety of complex scenes containing the St. Matthew 0.25mm dataset (373M triangles), the LLNL Richtmyer-Meshkov simulation isosurface (472M triangles), and full Boeing 777 CAD model (350M triangles). Data is presented at 1px resolution on a 640x480 display controlled by PC with a NVIDIA GeForce 6800GT graphics board and on a 2x1024x768 stereo projection system controlled by the same hardware.
