Today, Ex Manifattura Tabacchi hosted the event RIALE-EU: From Science to School in One Click, promoted by CRS4 to strengthen the dialogue between the scientific community and the school system.

After the institutional greetings by the authorities and by the CRS4 Sole Administrator, Massimo Carpinelli, who emphasized the importance of creating new synergies between researchers and schools, the morning continued with the presentation of the RIALE-EU project and its first results.

Carole Salis, Fabrizio Murgia and Manuela Carastro presented respectively the role of science in the classroom, the project’s catalogue of experiences, and its impact. This was followed by a focus on the role of Artificial Intelligence in STEM education, presented by Carole Salis and Jose Francisco Saenz-Cogollo, and by the inspiring talk of Marco Buttu (INAF – National Institute for Astrophysics), who shared his experience of research “at the limits of the known world.”

The morning concluded with the award ceremony of the contest “In Viaggio con la Scienza / A Journey with Science”, featuring the creativity and achievements of several participating schools.

In the afternoon, participants joined thematic working groups on teaching, innovation, AI, society, and territory, involving teachers, students, and researchers. The contribution of science communicator Davide Coero Borga (“Fantastic Researchers and Where to Find Them”) paved the way for the final plenary session, where outcomes and future steps of the project were shared.

Alongside the official sessions, participants also visited the exhibition areas, which showcased the laboratories of the RIALE-EU network and the works of the award-winning classes, fostering exchange and collaboration throughout the day.
