Einstein Telescope and Enabling Technologies: CRS4 at the Event Organized by Sardegna Ricerche and INFN

Massimo Carpinelli alla conferenza sul Sardinia Einstein Telescope

CRS4 took part today in the event “Einstein Telescope and Enabling Technologies (KET): Towards a Sustainable Future”, organized by Sardegna Ricerche in collaboration with INFN – the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics, Cagliari division. The meeting, held at Sa Manifattura, marked the second stop in the regional outreach initiative on innovation in strategic sectors for the island’s development.

During the morning session, participants discussed the prospects of Sardinia’s candidacy to host the Einstein Telescope and the opportunities that enabling technologies offer for strengthening the region’s economic and industrial fabric.

Among the speakers was Massimo Carpinelli, Sole Administrator of CRS4, who emphasized how the Center, in alignment with the regional strategy, can play a key role thanks to its multidisciplinary structure and longstanding experience in large-scale research infrastructures.

CRS4, boasts advanced digital infrastructure and a scalable computing center, ready to support complex projects like the Einstein Telescope. The true added value also lies in the ability to work closely with businesses, fostering rapid and effective technology transfer. In a context where collaboration between research and industry is increasingly crucial, CRS4 is a natural partner for companies aiming to tackle high-tech challenges.

The day concluded with a roundtable discussion involving businesses, research institutions, and institutional representatives, followed by one-on-one meetings in the afternoon.
