The Innovative Didactic Laboratories (IDLs) are part of a 3-year (aa. yy. 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018) comprehensive program named tutti a Iscol@ Line B2, the objective of which is to address school dropouts in the Sardinian Region. The comprehensive strategy tackles the problem from different viewpoints, the originality of the Line B2 is the attention paid to the introduction of Technology in the IDLs used in extracurricular activities. The IDLs were developed based on pupil’s interest for technology. Emphasis was placed on problem solving, teamwork, cooperative learning, learning by doing, and social learning. The project gives great importance to the interaction of schools, local technological economic operators (SMEs, Cultural Associations, University Departments) and the Institutions (RAS: the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, SR: the Regional R&TD Agency and CRS4, a Multidisciplinary Research Centre).
