    Abstract

The video shows a simulation of the proton transfer in a NAFION membrane. The NAFION is marked by big balls and the water by small balls. The molecules involved in the proton transfer are plotted in medium size. In the beginning the two molecules are separated and in the first step they come slowly closer to form a intermediate. In a second quick step the proton vibrates between both water molecules and is transfered. Finally the molecules drift apart.
