Having a background in Particle Physics, has dealt for the last 20 years with issues related to ICT development. After an initial period dedicated to research and development in the field of parallel computing for High Energy Physics ( in the early 1990’s), has subsequently worked on the design and management of IT infrastructures. Since 2000, he became interested in developing architectural solutions for the delivery of Web-Oriented services, promoting the usage of open source technologies in the contexts of high complexity applications. After developing a few strategic projects within the Sardinian Region IT infrastructures, is now working on issues of technology transfer to businesses and public administrations. In particular, he is now focusing on the application of ICT to innovation ecosystems, through the application of the network models tipical of the open business paradigm.
