Andrea Pinna is a research scientist in the Imaging and Numerical Geophysics program of the HPC for Energy & Environment sector at CRS4. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering (2014) and a M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering (2008), both from the University of Cagliari (Italy). He has a multidisciplinary experience in research, including the modeling of biochemical and biological systems, the development and implementation of reverse-engineering algorithms, the design of simulation tools and computational pipelines. Such expertises have been gained by collaborating with different research groups (CRS4 Bioinformatics, University of Cagliari, Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari) and by studying and working in international organizations and institutions as the Technical University of Delft (the Netherlands) and the Materials and Microsystems department of Siemens AG (Germany).
