The photographic exhibition Polarquest2018, developed with the contribution of CRS4 within the 2018 Arctic expedition, is currently on display in A Coruña (Spain) as part of the international initiative “Un océano cambiante – arte, fotografía, ciencia, vela”, hosted at the Museo do Mar de Sorrizo (Arteixo).
The initiative brings together art, photography, and science communication on themes related to the marine environment and biodiversity, featuring public events and exhibitions open to visitors from April 29 to July 1, 2026.
The Polarquest project, coordinated by Paola Catapano at CERN, involved CRS4 through scientific activities related to marine current modeling, supporting studies on the Arctic environment and the presence of microplastics.
Originally presented in Cagliari, the exhibition represents one of the outcomes of these activities and documents the expedition through images and outreach content, making research results accessible to the public.
The presence of the exhibition in A Coruña represents an important opportunity for international visibility for CRS4, confirming the Center’s role also in science communication and public engagement activities.
As part of the initiative, a round table on the marine environment and the Orcas project was also held and is available online: https://www.youtube.com/live/kWcIoQXDRtE
