The project EXTREME, granted by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia to IBIMET CNR and University of Sassari, is focused on the study of wildfires in the Sardinian territory and, in particular, of the extreme events that caused severe damages in the recent years. CRS4 contribution (as external contractor) consists in providing partners with detailed meteorological simulation data for a set of these events, together with detailed low scale wind data on the ground, as a result of Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations.
