The goal of the Digital Health research program is to improve the acquisition, sharing and analysis of complex and heterogeneous data generated in the context of healthcare processes and biomedical research through the study and application of models, tools and scalable technologies. The activities are mainly focused on data and process modelling through open formalisms, technical and semantic interoperability between clinical domains and the creation of scalable systems for collaborative analysis and reuse of available information, with particular attention to traceability and reproducibility of each step of the process. The group collaborates with clinical research institutions and health companies and contributes to the definition of clinical IT standards and best practices within the main reference organisations in this field (such as IHE, HL7, OME and openEHR). The DH group is also involved in the organization of courses and workshops for advanced training and health IT knowledge dissemination between research centers, clinical institutions, companies and other actors of the healthcare system.
Keywords: data modelling, data management, interoperability, traceability, provenance, reproducibility, reusability, healthcare, biomedicine.
