CRS4 has a long term experience in managing and developing complex network infrastructures, ranging from data center network of the first years to the latest wireless networks (4G/LTE, 5G), capable of providing users high bandwidth in mobility, as well as optical transport networks, based on the xWDM technology. The Security and Networks group is always looking at the latest advances on the market, in order to build an extremely stable, high-performace and resilient network infrastructure, acting as a critical asset for all users and projects. According to the latest network designs, virtualization is another key factor, supporting highly stable paradigm such as cloud computing, flat networks, VxLAN and so on. The group is also in charge of designing and building dedicated networks infrastructure for specific projects, driven by special requirements in terms of latency, bandwidth, or other aspects.
Digital Security in today’s world is crucial to protect data belonging to users and both research and industrial project. Thanks to new parading and technologies (e.g. IoT), the attack surface has become extremely large, giving attackers many more opportunities of stealing data than before. CRS4 employs highly consolidated and validated best practices and the latest technologies on the market to protect its resources, not only in terms of firewalls, but using a complete and balanced pipe of security components.
