The CRS4 concludes 2024 with the successful registration of 15 new software applications with SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers. These new entries join the 27 software applications registered earlier this year in January, securing intellectual property rights and certifying their originality as unpublished works.
Giacomo Cao, Sole Administrator of CRS4, commented:
“The development of these software applications stems from the work carried out by our various research teams, supported by regional funding under Article 9, Law No. 20 of 2015. Thanks to the dedication of our technologists, researchers, and specialists, we continue to follow our strategic path aimed at protecting the Center’s know-how. To date, this has resulted in the registration of a total of 42 proprietary software applications.”
The 15 newly registered software tools span a wide range of applications, including:
- Sign Language Video Management: A web platform for acquiring, cataloging, and managing video content related to the Italian Sign Language (LIS), offering robust control and ensuring data protection.
- Personalized Tourist Recommendations: Tools providing tailored suggestions for tourist attractions based on user preferences and historical data, addressing the needs of individual travelers and the tourism industry.
- Pollutant Dispersion Analysis: Solutions to model the effects of wind on pollutant dispersion and compare results with satellite data.
