She won the Womanium Quantum Hackathon 2022 - Green Qupermarket Competition (Team Qrious). She holds a Laurea (M.Sc.) Degree in Structural Engineering (1996) from University of Cagliari, a post-graduate course in Computer Science and a MicroMaster certification in Statistics and Data Science (2023, MIT-edX). At CRS4 since 1997, at first she collaborates to an ongoing project in the ADS field, mainly focused on finite element analysis and fluid-structure interaction. She contributes as well to the development of a parallel spectral-element code and data format conversion and visualization modules. Since 2003 she joins the Imaging and Numerical Geophysics group, being involved in the research and development of high performance large scale parallel codes for imaging and wave propagation, direct and inverse problem from gravity data. Since April 2021 she works in the Quantum Computing group, carrying out research and development for real world use cases of adiabatic, universal and analog quantum computing.Since 2023, she has been Quantum Technologies Laboratory lead for the \"Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti - Cagliari Digital Lab\" project (funded by the Italian Ministry MIMIT) where she carries out research, dissemination and technology transfer activities. She is responsible for organising the series of dissemination meetings and technical seminars of the same project. Since March 2024 she has been the coordinator of Qitaly, the Italian active group in the international network set up by Qworld for the free dissemination of quantum technologies. His focus lies within digital agriculture and precision farming, which he explores through three foundational and interconnected ICT technologies: AI, big data, and robotics.Data pertaining to agriculture reaches CRS4 through various channels. Agro-meteorological data is automatically delivered daily, thanks to our collaboration with Arpa Sardegna; additionally, images, time series, and other forms of information are sourced from agencies for agriculture of Regione Sardegna (Laore and Agris), as well as from end users who collaborate with us. Machine learning methods play a pivotal role in data analysis and processing, such as optimal interpolation of agro-meteorological data to obtain crop-scale information. Moreover, cutting-edge deep learning models enable us to automatically classify images for early detection of field emergencies, such as occurrences of phytopathologies, weed\/pest infestations, and deficiencies in water and\/or nutritional elements. With the aid of state-of-the-art edge devices, able to mitigate the necessity for cloud computing, and optimized AI techniques, real-time classification is now achievable. This opens the way to a new generation of smart rovers (unmanned ground vehicles, UGV) capable of continuous and quasi-autonomous operation. He works for two year as a mechanical engineer for a private company, designing special valves for refinery plants.  Since 1999 he works at CRS4, where he gains experience in mechanical simulation and in scientific programming on parallel machines. He is involved in several projects: the design of fission fragment space propulsion system for the Italian Space Agency, the design of several equipment of the LHC and other experiments for CERN, the simulation of elastic wave propagation in various fields, the design and simulation of a solar power system, among others.  In 2008 he works at CERN as a scientific associate developing simulation software for beam dump studies.
