The Black Sea Catchment has gone in the last decades through a ecologically unsustainable development and inadequate resource management, which is leading to severe environmental, social and economic problems.\u00a0The EnviroGRIDS project addresses these issues by bringing several emerging information technologies that can improve the way we observe our planet. The aim is building a data-driven vision of the earth that feeds into models and scenarios to explore our past, present and future. He organized international workshops\/conferences and taught advanced courses on hydrological (both superficial and groundwater) modeling at universities.
