{"id":19651,"date":"2025-07-03T18:22:37","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T16:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crs4.it\/projects\/active\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T12:36:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T10:36:24","slug":"active","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/www.crs4.it\/en\/projects\/active\/","title":{"rendered":"ACTIVE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project started with the aim of developing an <strong>intelligent cataloging platform<\/strong> for adding value to audiovisual archives of the digital content industry, both at production and distribution level.<br \/>\nThe ACTIVE platform provides the key features for managing audiovisual collections throughout their lifecycle and includes a set of tools for <strong>automatically indexing content by recognizing faces and speakers<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe platform can be extended using a <strong>plug-in system<\/strong>. In this way it can be adapted to future needs and scenarios. Plug-ins can use a parallel processing framework to reduce the computation time when handling large amount of data.<br \/>\nThe platform can be accessed through a web browser and can be integrated with other applications via REST API.<br \/>\nACTIVE will be released in open source by September 2015.<br \/>\nThe ACTIVE project is funded by the Programme &#8220;Top-Down Cluster Actions (PO FESR 2007-2013)&#8221;, which is aimed at encouraging the collaboration between research organizations and innovative enterprises.<br \/>\nSeveral enterprises from ICT and digital content industry have joined the ACTIVE project&#8217;s cluster to contribute with new ideas and suggestions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":3860,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"gruppo":[],"class_list":["post-19651","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":{"title":"Strumenti di archiviazione e classificazione automatica per l'industria dei contenuti audiovisuali ","acronym":"ACTIVE","project_uuid":"6198eac6-b567-1032-95fe-0030485a3848","start_date":"15\/01\/2014","end_date":"30\/06\/2015","funder":"RAS, POR FESR (Asse VI ob 6.1.1.A)","partners":"","project_coordinator":[],"proj_website":"http:\/\/active.crs4.it\/","project_status":"Completed","team_members":[{"ID":10197,"post_author":"4","post_date":"2025-06-30 17:22:33","post_date_gmt":"2025-06-30 15:22:33","post_content":"Felice Colucci graduated in Electronic Engineering in 2000 and has been working at CRS4 since 2001. Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2010. He then worked for a few years as analyst and developer, in particular in the development of Salesforce and iOS applications. In 2014 he joined the Digital Media Applications group of the ICT sector at CRS4, working initially on automatic people recognition in videos within the ACTIVE project through machine learning techniques. He then partecipated in other research projects, studying and utilizing deep learning techniques for image and video classification and content based retrieval in several fields, from traffic analysis to tourism. He become an Expert Researcher in 2021 and he joined the Digital Technologies Sector in 2024.
