The project aims at a technological upgrade of the current power consumption measurement devices produced, used and sold on the market by Ener.Med. and their software applications, with the aim of obtaining a device that in addition to the advanced metering capabilities can also be a Base Station for interfacing IoT devices.

He works for two year as a mechanical engineer for a private company, designing special valves for refinery plants. Since 1999 he works at CRS4, where he gains experience in mechanical simulation and in scientific programming on parallel machines. He is involved in several projects: the design of fission fragment space propulsion system for the Italian Space Agency, the design of several equipment of the LHC and other experiments for CERN, the simulation of elastic wave propagation in various fields, the design and simulation of a solar power system, among others. In 2008 he works at CERN as a scientific associate developing simulation software for beam dump studies. He holds a Laurea (M.Sc.) degree in Physics (1990) from the University of Pisa, Italy and a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics (1997) from the University of Strasbourg, France. During his research activity, he has developed physical models and numerical simulation codes in various fields, including: i) effects of relativity and electronic correlation on the chemistry of atoms and molecules, ii) propagation and scattering of electromagnetic wave, and iii) low temperature and high temperature fuel cells - fuel cells materials.
