With the completion of the project, companies will be able to manage independently (in their respective areas of activity: technological, communicative, methodological, regulatory, etc..) the design and implementation of accessible installations.\u00a0 This objective will be achieved with the organization of events for in-depth analysis and technology transfer in favour of the companies belonging to the cluster and with the design, implementation, testing and evaluation of demonstrators for the use accessible to culture. The advent of new technologies and the low-cost availability of a whole series of devices has opened up new scenarios in the design of the experience within museums. Considerable scientific advances have been made in the field of speech recognition and comprehension of text (written or spoken) both with artificial intelligence algorithms and with systems of semantic analysis of natural language, which allow to overcome the limits of graphical interfaces, to which we are accustomed, allowing the creation of interactive applications in which the sense of sight is not engaged. In recent years, researchers working in the field of natural interaction have experimented with different modes of human-computer interaction (gestural, tactile, vocal), thus exploiting all the richness of human expression.<br\/><br\/>In conclusion, the purpose of the project is the evaluation of state-of-the-art technologies and their integration, in order to demonstrate solutions that can make the experience of a visit to a museum exhibition interesting, enjoyable, educational, seductive even for people with sensory disabilities. The project, sharing the Recommendations for accessibility to cultural heritage issued by MiBACT (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism) wants to integrate the technological aspects with an analysis on methodologies to be adopted in the design of exhibitions and forms of communication to be implemented that can contribute to the construction of an archive of best practices for universal accessibility.","post_title":"OVERTHEVIEW","post_excerpt":"","post_status":"publish","comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","post_password":"","post_name":"overtheview","to_ping":"","pinged":"","post_modified":"2026-04-02 12:33:54","post_modified_gmt":"2026-04-02 10:33:54","post_content_filtered":"","post_parent":0,"guid":"https:\/\/www.crs4.it\/projects\/overtheview\/","menu_order":0,"post_type":"projects","post_mime_type":"","comment_count":"0","filter":"raw"},{"ID":19702,"post_author":"4","post_date":"2025-07-03 18:24:15","post_date_gmt":"2025-07-03 16:24:15","post_content":"The Open Media Center Lab is a project involved into the activities of the Distretto ICT promoted by Sardegna Ricerche, which is devoted to facilitate communication between research institution and enterprises. This is presently the only solution to setup viable and sustainable business activities with e-content. Production costs have to be drastically reduced maintaining product quality. Content providers, aggregators and distributors need innovative instruments to increase efficiency. A solution is automating, accelerating and restructuring the production process to make it faster and cheaper. The goals will be reached by: (i) accelerating and reducing costs for content production with artificial intelligence algorithms for content composition and formatting and workflow, (ii) reducing distribution and aggregation costs, increasing accessibility, with a P2P platform at B2B level integrating content management systems and workflows, (iii) providing algorithms and tools for innovative and flexible Digital Rights Management, exploiting MPEG-21 and overcoming its limits, supporting several business and transactions models. AXMEDIS consortium (producers, aggregators, distributors and researcher) will create the AXMEDIS framework with innovative methods and tools to speed up and optimise content production and distribution, for production-on-demand. The content model and manipulation will exploit and expand MPEG-4, MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 and others real and de-facto standards. AXMEDIS will realize demonstrators, validated by means of real activities with end-user by leading distributor partners: (i) tools for content production and B2B distribution; (ii) content production and distribution for i-TV-PC, PC, kiosks, mobiles, PDAs. The most relevant result will be to transform the demonstrators into sustainable business models for products and services during the last project year. Additional demonstrators will be 2-3 associated projects launched as take up actions. The project will be supported by activities of training, management, assessment and evaluation, dissemination and demonstration at conference and fairs.","post_title":"AXMEDIS","post_excerpt":"","post_status":"publish","comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","post_password":"","post_name":"axmedis","to_ping":"","pinged":"","post_modified":"2026-04-02 12:38:35","post_modified_gmt":"2026-04-02 10:38:35","post_content_filtered":"","post_parent":0,"guid":"https:\/\/www.crs4.it\/projects\/axmedis\/","menu_order":0,"post_type":"projects","post_mime_type":"","comment_count":"0","filter":"raw"},{"ID":19740,"post_author":"4","post_date":"2025-07-03 18:25:29","post_date_gmt":"2025-07-03 16:25:29","post_content":"DART (Distributed Agent-based Retrieval Tools) is a research project focused on studying, developing and testing of new information retrieval patterns and integrated tools to improve the quality of search engines results, with the main objective of satisfying user needs.Search engines help people to find information in the largest public knowledge system of the world: the Web.
