His main activities in the NIT Area (Natural Interaction Technologies) concern Recommander and Personalization System and Human-Machine Interaction for Web interfaces. Currently he is working in the field of eTourism, management  systems for cultural contents, in particular. He is author and co-author of several publications and scientific papers presented in journals and national and international conferences. The primary goals of this project are:\n<ul>\n<li>to study content-based methodologies for sharing customized and effective digital contents;<\/li>\n<li>to define new models for describing tourist attractions;<\/li>\n<li>to develop solutions useful for creating experiential and personalized tourist services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nSpecifically the CRS4 is working on industrial research and experimental development activities that define new approaches for creating travel guides and travel memories, through crowdsourcing techniques, social media analysis Web and mobile applications.\nCRS4 ACTIVITIES\n<strong>Descriptive model for tourist places<\/strong>\nWe are working on building a knowledge base definition, able to exhaustively represent the conceptual model of tourism and cultural domain. We intend to propose a new ontology that allows both to share a common understanding of the specific domain and to execute automated processes for information retrieval, analysis and storing.\n<strong>Travel guides<\/strong>\nWe intend to develop some prototypes, designed for creating and browsing personalised travel guides, to test correctness and completeness of our ontology. All the contents selected for including into the guide will be recommended on the base of the travel information (locations, period, travel group, etc.), traveller\u2019s tastes, other users behaviour and preferences over the contents.\n<strong>Travel memories<\/strong>\nOur purpose is to develop a prototype system which can help users to save their travel memories. A mobile application records every information e multimedia contents collected during the trip and drives users to select the most relevant ones.
