Maria Francesca Urru holds a Degree in Biology (1999) at the University of Cagliari. In 2005 he specialized in Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of University of Cagliari acquiring expertise in clinical diagnostic. Starting from 2001 to 2004, she collaborated with the Institute of Neurogenetics and Neuropharmacology CNR of Cagliari working on breast cancer in Sardinia. During 2003-2007, she taught molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, general pathology and organic chemistry. From January 2007 to these days she participates to the development of the Genomic Laboratory working on several projects of expression analysis and high throughput genotyping on DNA and RNA chips. Now days her scientific interest is focused on massive sequence using the Illumina last generation sequencers (Genome Analyzer and HiSeq 2000).
