Position: Researcher
Elisaveta Peneva is an assistant professor at the University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski", Bulgaria, teaching university courses for B.Sc. and M.Sc. graduate level in "Physics of climate", "Physical oceanography" and "Remote Sensing". In the period 2008-2009 she worked as a researcher at CRS4 in the frames of the GRIDA3 project and since then she continues to collaborate with CRS4 researchers as a consultant.
Elisaveta Peneva obtained a Ph.D. title in Physical Oceanography in 2001; her Ph.D. thesis is entitled "Variability of the Black Sea free surface, circulation and exchange with Mediterranean Sea through Bosporus Strait". Her research interest are in the numerical modelling of atmosphere and ocean processes, air-sea interactions and climate variability. She has experience in supervision of students during their work under B.Sc.and M.Sc. thesis.
