From May 15 to 22 the Ex-Distillery of Pirri (Via Ampere 2, Cagliari) will host the spring school Urban Computing 2019, the first of a series of three training events organized by the project Tessuto Digitale Metropolitano, promoted by CRS4 and University of Cagliari and funded by the regional agency Sardegna Ricerche (ROP ERDF 2014-2020, Action 1.2.2). The 2019 edition of the School will be dedicated to the theme: Big data: acquisition, processing and statistical methods of analysis.
The School is aimed at students, professionals, employees of companies and public administrations, and citizens who want to deepen the themes of Urban Computing. The aim is to disseminate the knowledge and results of the research activity in the territory to allow the development of solutions that improve the life in the city.
The activities will be structured in two modules: Introductory (in Italian, from 15 to 17 May) and Advanced (in English, from 20 to 22 May). Each module will include both frontal lessons (morning), open to a wide public, and laboratory sessions (afternoon), reserved for a maximum of 20 people.
Participation in the School is free of charge but subject to Online Registration. The deadline for registration to the practical sessions expires on April 28 while the registration to the frontal lessons opens on May 3 and closes as soon as the room capacity is reached (80 seats).
The 2020 and 2021 editions of the School will be dedicated to Visual Computing and Smart Grids, respectively.
