New algorithm improves the resolution of ultrasound images

The publication, based on the research conducted at CRS4 by Daniela Theis and Ernesto Bonomi concerns a new algorithm that considerably improves the resolution of ultrasound images, thanks to the use of a mathematical model that is more adherent to physical reality than those ones currently used in ultrasound software.

The study has been published in the renowned scientific journal "Physical Review Applied" with the title: Seismic Imaging Method for Medical Ultrasound Systems.
