The objectives of the project are the creation of a dialogue between art and scientific, technological and industrial research. More specifically, this is an artistic residency and training project aimed at spreading cultural processes related to the practices of improvisation and performative creation.
CRS4 is involved in the project thanks to the experience of the scientific school EIA: Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Art established with the aim of investigating languages, processes and methodologies introduced in the artistic field by Artificial Intelligence, but also to contribute to the development of a specialised community of researchers, creatives and digital art practitioners, able to take part in the international cultural debate on these issues.
The theoretical part of the project Fuorimargine is developed through the intervention of various tutors, for the CRS4 intervene: Nicoletta Zonchello (Science dissemination and New Media Art studies) and Felice Colucci (Computer vision and Artificial Intelligence).
The event is included in the 26th edition of the festival of contemporary dance and performing arts Autumn Dance to be held in Cagliari, from 1 October to 15 November 2020
